February Frenzy supports Yow fund

Bookmark and Share

ESPN's "February Frenzy" of women's college basketball games will continue today with two games to support The V Foundation for Cancer Research’s Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund for women’s cancer research. Yow, the former N.C. State coach, died last month at age 66 after a long battle with cancer.

At 4:30 p.m. today, ESPNU will televise North Carolina A&T's game at Delaware State. At 7:30 p.m., No. 10 Duke will play at No. 18 Tennessee — a game to be shown on ESPN2 (HD). Sunday's Frenzy games included N.C. State's 60-54 victory over Virginia at home.

ESPN will direct fans to contribute to The V Foundation for the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Research Fund through The V Foundation (1-800-4JIMMYV) and its web site at www.jimmyv.org. ESPN also produced a special promotional spot featuring the late Yow.
