The Wake County school board appointed three top administrators and a principal last week.
Howard "Todd" Wirt was hired to become the assistant superintendent for academics with a salary of $120,000. Wirt has been the executive director for secondary education for the Mooresville Graded School District since 2011.
Clinton Robinson will become the southwestern area superintendent with a salary of $120,000. He had been principal of Wake Forest-Rolesville High School since September.
Rose Anne Gonzales will be the central area superintendent with a salary of $120,000. She's been principal of the East New York Middle School of Excellence in Brooklyn since 2007.
Kathryn Hutchinson is now the principal of Joyner Elementary School in Raleigh with a salary of $83,060. She has been an assistant principal at East Millbrook Middle School in Raleigh since 2010.
The school board also appointed interim principals to fill in at three schools. Thomas Dixon will be at Wake Forest-Rolesville High. Martha McCaskill will be at the East Wake School of Health and Science in Wendell. Judy Dudley will stay on at Lockhart Elementary School in Knightdale.
