The WakeEd blog is devoted to discussing and answering questions about the major issues facing the Wake County school system. How much will the new Democratic majority on the school board do to undo the changes made by Republicans since 2009? How will the new choice-based assignment system work now that the socioeconomic diversity policy has been eliminated? It looks like we'll have to wait until next week to get Wake's Day 5 enrollment numbers.
A representative from the Technology Department, which compiles the data, says the Day 5 numbers were sent to the Communications Department before offices closed early at 4 p.m. today. Telephone calls and pages to communications haven't been returned.
