Compared to the Wake Schools Community Alliance, campaign finance reports show that Take Wake Schools Back wasn't nearly as big a monetary player.
In its runoff election report, Take Wake Schools Back said it had raised $2,083.25 as of Oct. 19. In contrast, the WSCA had raised $36,919.44.
County Commissioner Tony Gurley was Take Wake Schools Back's main donor in the latest report. He gave $1,000.
The PAC gave $375 apiece to candidates Chris Malone, John Tedesco, Deborah Prickett and Debra Goldman.
While Take Wake Schools Back didn't have as much cash as the WSCA, the group regularly sent out press releases. Take Wake Schools Back has strong ties to the Wake County Republican Party.
