If you didn't think this Wake County school board campaign could get any weirder, now we've got the "Stinky Tea Campaign Tour."
Progress NC Action announced tonight that "Stinky Tea," a person wearing a skunk outfit, will travel around District 3 on Thursday to "warn against the toxic Tea Party take-over of Wake County Schools."
The "tour" will end with Stinky Tea showing up at the Northern Wake Republican Club meeting, where school board candidate Heather Losurdo is expected to be an attendee at a meet the candidates event.
The liberal advocacy group has been going hard after Losurdo, setting up their queen of extreme website and having the crown-wearing skunk mascot stand outside the building where the school board met Tuesday.

A two-bit James Carville wannabee named Gerrick Brenner with a mysterious "grassroots organization" called ProgressNC. Brenner is trying to attract attention from DNC high-ups so he gets clients for Nov '12 campaign. Brenner was/is a former reporter with WTVD. The "T Keung" of WTVD.
He is a no-body but has found a willing ally in Keungy who has agreed to promote any stunt he pulls using Keungy little blog to do so. Without Keungy's cooperation, Brenner would be totally insignificant - even with Keungy's help its pretty weak.
Such groups are usually required to divulge their funding source - BUT Keungy has decided to waive that requirement with his buddy Gerrick. Why? Keungy won't say.

Perhaps funding is coming, in part, from Mr. Quarles. That might explain Keung's motivation to give legitimacy to this, until recently, unheard of organization and to keep the donor list so secretive. The N&O certainly would not want to appear partisan.
