The WakeEd blog is devoted to discussing and answering questions about the major issues facing the Wake County school system. Preparing for the new reading results

You can expect both some information and a bit of spin about new reading scores at today's school board meeting.

As noted previously, passing rates on end-of-grae reading tests have plummeted statewide due to new exams introduced this past school year. The impact on individual schools will be known on Thursday when the state Board of Education releases the full ABCs results from 2007-08.

In advance of Thursday's meeting, Wake school administrators will give a presentation today on "understanding changes in reading tests."

Too bad they were not release on October 30th.  I wonder what political party would want to hide these results.  You would think the "Educational" Governor would proudly display his eight years of management over NC education. 

 

Well, at least his wife got a GREAT job out of the deal.
