New Apex Middle principal named

Only one new principal appointment tonight.

Camille Hedrick was named principal of Apex Middle School at a salary of $112,286. She replaces Timothy Lee Locklair, who was recently named principal of Holly Springs High.

Hedrick has been an assistant principal at Lufkin Road Middle School since 2006. She's also married to James Hedrick, principal of Green Hope High School.

Since I was out on July 21, I'll also post those principal changes too.

Lisa Cruz was named principal of Jeffreys Grove Elementary, replacing Jacob Bryant, who is now running Dillard Drive Middle. Cruz had been an assistant principal at Brier Creek Elementary since 2006.

Cruz will receive a salary of $83,131.

Katherine Faison was named principal of Carver Elementary, replacing Allison Baker, who resigned after being suspended for allegedly assaulting a student. Faison had been an assistant principal at Lockhart Elementary since 2003.

Faison will receive a salary of $84,828.

David Newkirk was named principal of Hunter Elementary, replacing David Schwenker, who is now running Carnage Middle. Newkirk had been an assistant principal at Fuller Elementary since 2005.

Newkirk will receive a salary of $85,938.

Lewis Ware was named principal of Root Elementary, replacing Chip Mack, who is now running Davis Drive Elementary. Ware had been an assistant principal at Vance Elementary since 2007.

Ware will receive a salary of $74,827.
