Today's joint meeting of the school board and county commissioners could get really interesting.
It's the last chance for the commissioners to officially meet with the outgoing school board members, whose terms expire at the end of the month. But the new school board members have also been invited to the joint meeting.
One of today's topics will be the Forest Ridge High School site. Both boards are expected to hear a report from a working group of county and school staff that have looked at alternative locations.
They're also expected to discuss the 2009-10 Facilities Utilization Report that was adopted by the school board on Tuesday.
The joint meeting is open to the public. It begins at 9 a.m. in the very cramped school board conference room at 3600 Wake Forest Road in Raleigh.
