The WakeEd blog is devoted to discussing and answering questions about the major issues facing the Wake County school system. How will the new student assignment plan balance diversity, stability, proximity and stability? How will Jim Merrill replace Tony Tata as the new superintendent of the state's largest district? How will voters react to a $810 million school construction bond referendum on Oct. 8 ballot? How will this fall's school board elections impact the future of the district?

WakeEd is maintained by The News & Observer's Wake schools reporter, T. Keung Hui. While Keung posts information and analysis on the issues, keep us posted on your suggestions, questions, tips and what you're doing to cope with the changes in Wake's schools.

Congratulations, Mr. Wall! We are truly blessed in Wake County to have such great leaders and administrators as yourself. Please know that there are many of us that support the great job you do! Thank you.

Hey Hui how can you write a column without defaming Art Pope or demanding a school board election recount ?

Mr. Wall is an excellent principal.  I am from the Garner area and my sister attends the school and there have been many changes since I attended there.

Congratulations. Well deserved

Good job.  In order for Garner schools to be attractive, Garner High has to be as well equipped as Enloe.

Ironically, North Garner used to be an IB magnet.  They stripped the IB program away from the school when they forced it to MYR because they decided it would be too hard to continue to offer the magnet program at a year round school.
