The latest meetings of the Wake County school board and county commissioners are making people think of the days when the Durham school board had wild meetings.
In a Tuesday post on the Bull City Rising blog, Kevin Davis asks "whether some magical government gremlins" that were responsible for the Durham school board's antics earlier this decade have made their way into Raleigh.
He's not impressed by the recent behavior of both Wake boards.
"So, Wake County friends, listen up: If you're displaying this little ability to work together, you're embarrassing yourselves," Davis writes. "You're embarrassing the region."
Davis, if you'll recall, blogged last month that the new Wake school board majority might actually help Durham by weakening innercity Raleigh schools. That blog post has been picked up by Wake County Commissioner Stan Norwalk, who has been sharing it on various forums as to why neighborhood schools would be bad.
