UNC vs. N.C. State: What you need to know

CHAPEL HILL — And welcome to North Carolina vs. N.C. State Thursday. Lots more will be coming throughout the day here but to get you ready for the game tonight, I wanted to start off with some links to some stories of interest:

First, a good read from Joe Giglio about the transformation of N.C. State forward C.J. Leslie under first-year coach Mark Gottfried.

The UNC-N.C. State rivalry has provided plenty of memorable games. Here, Caulton Tudor lists five of those.

And yes, the rivalry between the Wolfpack and Tar Heels has lost some of its luster over the past 20 years or so, but the passion for it never fades for UNC coach Roy Williams.

And, finally, who has the edge tonight?
