The funniest part of last night's "Saturday Night Live" was probably the monologue by host (and NC native) Zach Galifianakis (that clip is below). The second funniest was the final sketch in which Zach apparently shaved off his beard to play the southern host of a pageant show (actually, his beard was present, but she was wearing a lavender track suit, chain smoking, and reeking of Bojangles). I laughed so hard during this clip, and it looks like it's the only clip SNL hasn't posted online. Too bad. Zach was really channeling Wilkesboro for that one.
All in all, great episode. I also really enjoyed the "What Up With That" sketch, not just for the amazing-as-usual Jason Sudeikis dancing in the background, but also Zach appearing as the highly fashionable, ambidextrous flute player, R.J. Sizzle.
Also worth watching, the digital short in which Zach shows up "on the set" of various NBC shows ("Law & Order" was the funniest).
