Forget the Saints versus Colts. Over on Animal Planet's "Puppy Bowl VI," we'll be watching Saint Bernards versus Collies.
The actual Super Bowl may have more hitting, more drama, and more suspense, but when it comes to pure cuteness, the Puppy Bowl wins paws down (sorry).
This is the sixth year Animal Planet has used Super Bowl Sunday to showcase shelter pups in a gridiron battle, and this year they are beefing up their coverage with panoramic views and aerial "blimp" coverage.
Also new this year, a squad of bunny rabbit cheerleaders.
And while the real Super Bowl has The Who entertaining the mob in Miami, Puppy Bowl has the equally-in-demand Bissell Kitty Half-Time Show.
Animal Planet reports that all of the pups and kitties featured in the show have been recently adopoted, but that two bunnies remain homeless.
Both Alice and Abigail have cheerleading experience, and that's sure to come in handy around the house. And if they get snatched up soon, remember there are about 300,000 other shelter animals on Petfinder.com who need homes.
"Puppy Bowl VI" begins at 3pm on Animal Planet, but will rerun all night.
