What to Watch on Wednesday: 'The Franchise' heads to the All-Star game

Meat America (9pm, History) - Why do we eat meat? Chef Jamie Stachowski explores the history and use of beef, chicken, and pork in America.

Royal Pains (9pm, USA) - Evan spends the day at horse races with his grandfather in hopes of helping Eddie's chances of parole, but he soon learns the real reason his grandfather hasn't been in his life.

The Franchise (10pm, Showtime) - The third installment of this docu-series following the 2010 World Series champs the San Francisco Giants. Tonight's episode looks at trips to the All-Star game for charismatic closer Brian Wilson and his beard (right), Charlotte-born pitcher Ryan Vogelsong, and Barry Zito, who talks about his culinary aspirations. Damages (10pm, DirecTV 239) - Ellen files her suit against High Star, but her only witness, Chris Sanchez, is in Afghanistan. Also, more light is shed on Patty's connection to the case.

Rescue Me (10pm, FX) - Colleen gets some sage advice from Mike and makes an offer to Teddy that Tommy is not going to like. Also, Tommy tells Kelly about the ghosts in his life and makes an offer to Lou, who also gets some tough love from the guys, who want him to diet. Tommy decides to sit for the 9/11 TV documentary.

Rocco's Dinner Party (10pm, Bravo) - Rocco's dinner guests this week include "So You Think You Can Dance" judge Cat Deeley. You can also visit Rocco's Facebook page for a chance to win a trip to New York City to attend the October NYC Wine and Food Festival. The Watch & Win contest goes live tonight at 9 p.m.

Hot in Cleveland (10pm, TV Land) - A visit from Victoria's daughter, Emmy (Jennifer Love Hewitt), prompts Victoria to ask Elka (and her Irish accent) for help in dissuading Emmy from writing a revealing autobiography about her childhood.
