What to Watch on Tuesday: 'The Voice' is calling

Bookmark and Share

Black in Latin America: Cuba, The Next Revolution (8pm, UNC-TV) - A tour of Cuba explores its culture, religion, politics, and music, and how they are linked to slave labor imported to work in the sugar industry during the 19th century. Also examined, race and racism since the 1959 revolution led by Fidel Castro.

Glee (8pm, Fox) - A special 90-minute episode that focuses on the music of Lady Gaga. Can it be worse than last week? They'll try!

The Voice (9pm, NBC) - As much as NBC has hyped this show, in which singers battle for a recording contract, it better be a hit. Tonight is part one of the blind auditions. Singers are hidden from view and judged solely on their voice. Coaches include Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Hosted by Carson Daly and from the same producers who brought you 'Big Brother' and 'Survivor.' You can watch a preview of the show -- it actually looks pretty good!

Dancing with the Stars (9pm, ABC) - Someone is eliminated, but not before performances from New Kids on the Block, the Backstreet Boys, and 'American Idol' castoff Pia Toscano.

Deadliest Catch (9pm, Discovery) - Jake Harris learns how to drive the Cornelia Marie, and a dangerous situation unfolds aboard the Wizard as a crew mate gets caught in the line.

Raising Hope (9:30pm, Fox) - Burt and Virginia sleep-train Hope, and Jimmy's new girlfriend introduces him to a strange beverage that takes him on a frightening trip.

Body of Proof (10pm, ABC) - A magazine editor is found dead in her mansion, and Megan attends a social event to confront a suspect.
