Santa Claus is Comin' to Town (8pm, ABC) - This isn't just another holiday special. I consider this an informative stop-motion documentary of the actual true history of Santa Claus, the person (shown here with Topper the penguin). The fact that Fred Astaire narrates proves it's true. Just look up Burgermeister Meisterburger in your history books, if you don't believe me.
Faith Hill, Joy to the World (8pm, PBS) - Hill sings songs from her 2008 Joy to the World album.
College Basketball (ESPN, ESPN2) - There are ACC-Big Ten Challenge games on tonight. Of the local teams, Duke plays Perdue at 9pm.

Tue, 12/02/2008 - 13:27 — UNC1998To each their own. In my mind you can't beat Year Without a Santa Claus. It snows in South Town. That is a classic
It was good, I agree
Tue, 12/02/2008 - 14:42 — brookecain (author)I admit that was a pretty good one. Santa had a cold and didn't want to go out. I actually love all those stop-motion Christmas specials. They make me very nostalgic for being a kid at Christmas. I wonder if kids today like these as much as we did, or if they are more into "newer" stuff...
I'll keep my eyes open for The Year Without Santa and alert everyone in the blog.
My two kids sure do watch them..
Tue, 12/02/2008 - 16:06 — UNC1998I would imagine any child would soak up any Christmas programming.
