America's Got Talent (9pm, NBC) - Twelve previously eliminated acts return to perform for a chance at a wildcard spot.
Melissa & Joey (8pm, ABC Family) - The premiere of a traditional sitcom (by traditional we mean it's essentially an updated "Who's the Boss") featuring former child actors Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence (who is not nearly as cute with that shaved head). Hart plays a busy politician who hires a male nanny (Lawrence) when she assumes custody of her teenage niece and nephew. The show is also exec-produced by Hart and Lawrence. A second episode airs at 8:30.
Gates of Hell (8pm, History) - A special exploring six places on earth that according to myth and religious beliefs, are thought to be entrances to hell. Remarkably, Sunnydale High School is not on that list.
Memphis Beat (10pm, TNT) - A city councilman's aide disappears on the day he was supposed to marry the councilman's daughter. Making the case more complex, factor in a missing reporter and mysteries surrounding a pair of cuff links.
Big Lake (10pm, Comedy Central) - A new series about a disgraced Wall Street whiz kid (Chris Gethard) who slinks back to his parents' home and vows to recoup his father's squandered retirement fund with the help of a friend and former teacher. Horatio Sanz and Chris Parnell of "Saturday Night Live" costar. There's a second episode at 10:30.
