Weeds (10pm, Showtime) - The Season 8 premiere will reveal who got shot in last season's finale. Was it Nancy (Mary Louise Parker, right)? Showtime doesn't want that detail spoiled, in case that wasn't clear from the last episode. Either way, the victim is rushed to the hospital while the family acts weird and dysfunctional. The shooter is revealed, so no Rosie Larsen drama here. And if you're wondering if 'Weeds' has gotten any better, I'd say from the first episode that it sure doesn't look like it. This will be the final season for 'Weeds.'
The Newsroom (10pm, HBO) - MacKenzie takes charge of the revamped "News Night" and lobbies an economist to file a nightly financial report. Charlie puts a halt to Reese's meetings with will and a confidential breakup story is a secret no more.
