Academy of Country Music Awards (8pm, CBS) - Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton host, and Kenny Chesney leads with nine nominations. Garner's Scotty McCreery is up for Best New Artist.
The Killing (8pm, AMC) - A two-hour Season 2 premiere picks up where Season 1 ended -- Detective Linden (Mirielle Enos, right) realizes her partner, Detective Holder (Joel Kinnaman, right), has been lying to her and that the arrest of mayoral candidate Darren Richmond (Billy Campbell) was a mistake. So yeah, they are still searching for Rosie Larsen's killer, which is fine with me. This slowly-paced drama isn't for everyone, but I love it and I'm happy it's back. Here's Adrienne's take on the first two hours.
Celebrity Apprentice (8pm, NBC) - A special three-hour "Celebrity Apprentice" tonight includes the mixing of teams in the second half of the show. The first challenge, though, will be to create and sell a guidebook about New York City, with Regis Philbin judging the final product. In the second part of the episode, the newly formed teams must create an interactive health segment.
Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates, Jr. (8pm, UNC-TV) - Tonight, Gates helps Barbara Walters and Geoffrey Canada (Harlem's Children Zoo) research their family trees.
Titanoboa: Monster Snake (8pm, Smithsonian) - A two-hour special examining the discovery in a Columbian coal mine of a prehistoric fossil of a 48-foot, 2500-pound snake. That's a two-thousand-five-hundred-pound SNAKE.
Shameless (9pm, Showtime) - It's the Season 2 finale. Jimmy gets back into Fiona's good graces and decides to meet her family, and Frank plots to free Monica from the psychiatric institution.
Game of Thrones (9pm, HBO) - In the second season premiere, Robb Stark continues his campaign against the Lannisters, and Tyrion tries to rein in the impulsive Joffrey in King's Landing. Meanwhile, Stannis Baratheon sets out to claim his deceased brother's trhone, and the Daenerys and the khalasar try to survive in the Red Waste.
River Monsters (9pm, Animal Planet) - In the Season 4 premiere, Jeremy investigates reports of menacing creatures in U.S. waterways, including the Indian River Lagoon in Florida, the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, and Trinity River in Texas.
Mad Men (10pm, AMC) - Peggy receives new responsibilities as the firm makes a concentrated push to increase business. Later, Don and Harry go the extra mile for a big client.
Saving the Titanic (10pm, UNC-TV) - A dramatic portrayal of the Titanic's final hours from the perspective of the ship's engineerese, who toiled beneath the deck to keep the ship's power systems running even after they learned all was lost. This repeats at 4 a.m. on UNC-MX.
Oprah's Master Class (10pm, OWN) - NBA veteran and former Duke star Grant Hill reflects on how the values his parents instilled in him and lessons he learned on and off the court led to his basketball success.
House of Lies (10pm, Showtime) - In the Season 1 finale, Marty gets help from a surprise source as he deals with MetroCapital's takeover attempt, and Roscoe makes a choice that will have a serious impact on his future.
Californication (10:30pm, Showtime) - In the fifth-season finale, Hank gets some unsettling news at Becca's and later, Charlie proves his friendship by almost taking a bullet for him.
