Johnny Cash: Song by Song (8pm, Ovation) - A new music series that charts the life of Johnny Cash and tells the stories behind his most iconic songs. The premiere delves into Cash's "I Walk the Line," and includes stories about Cash trying to find his voice and how a tape recorder mistake inspires a riff. A second episode at 8:30 tells stories behind "Ring of Fire."
The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror XXIII (8pm, Fox) - Marge and Homer go back to ancient Mayan times and learn that the world will come to an end in 2012. Also, Marge as a youngster has a devil of a time after entering into a satanic pact. "Bob's Burgers" (8:30) also has a Halloween-themed episode tonight.
Call the Midwife (8pm, UNC-TV) - New nurse Chummy is a welcome arrival in episode two, but she gets off on the wrong foot with Sister Evangelina due to her inability to ride a bike. Also, Jenny meets a pregnant young runaway.
Steel Magnolias (9pm, Lifetime) - The lives of six African American women in Louisiana are chronicled in this pretty exact remake of the popular 1989 film. This version stars Queen Latifah, Alfre Woodard, Phylicia Rashad, Jill Scott and Adepero Oduye. Here's Adrienne's review.
Revenge (9pm, ABC) - Emily tries to intersect her life with the Graysons' lives once again, while still maintaining a link to Amanda and her unborn baby.
Dexter (9pm, Showtime) - Debra works to cure her brother of his homicidal urges while LaGuerta investigates the old Bayside Butcher case on the down-low.
Oprah's Next Chapter (9pm, OWN) - Oprah interviews Jason Russell, creator of the "Kony 2012" viral video, about his March 2012 breakdown. A repeat of last week's talk with Stephen Colbert airs just before this at 8.
The Good Wife (9:30pm, CBS) - Will tries his first case following his suspension, but he turns down a low settlement that could cost the firm some much-needed money. Meanwhile, Alicia inadvertently helps Peter's campaign.
Homeland (10pm, Showtime) - In Beirut, Carrie (Claire Danes, left) assists Saul (Mandy Patinkin, left) in a case which could mean the end of Abu Nazir. Back in Washington, Brody's handlers press him into service. The end of this episode is just, oh man...
666 Park Avenue (10pm, ABC) - Jane makes a terrifying discovery about what lies behind the walls of the Drake when she renovates an apartment.
Treme (10pm, HBO) - Antoine hits the road with a new band for some gigs in Texas, though the idea doesn't thrill Desiree, who begins to investigate some suspicious construction work. Also, Toni takes a big risk to find a killer.
