The Kennedys (8pm, Reelz) - This controversial mini-series about the Kennedy clan begins tonight. We didn't get an advance copy to view and we've only heard horrible things about it, which is a shame considering the cast: Tom Wilkinson, Greg Kinnear, Barry Pepper, and Katie Holmes.
Academy of Country Music Awards (8pm, CBS) - Seriously. How many country music awards shows are there every year? Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton host this one from Las Vegas. Miranda Lambert leads nominations with seven. Scheduled to perform: Lambert, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith.
Nature (8pm, UNC-TV) - "Outback Pelicans" looks at Australia's nomadic pelicans, which travel over 1000 miles inland to feast on fish and brine shrimp that appear in the usually dry Lake Eyre (which is the size of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico combined) whenever it floods.
The Killing (9pm, AMC) - AMC's newest series is an adaptation of a wildly popular Danish TV crime drama, intertwining three perspectives of a murder in Seattle. In tonight's two-hour opener, Detective Sarah Linden's last day on the job is interrupted by the murder investigation of a 17-year-old girl who was supposed to be spending the weekend with a friend. Linden is played by Mireille Enos ('Big Love'). Billy Campbell ('Once and Again') also stars. Check out our review.
The Borgias (9pm, Showtime) - The premiere of a new 10-part drama about the infamous Renaissance-era Italian family headed by Rodrigo Borgias (Jeremy Irons) who schemes his way into being elected Pope Alexander VI.
Mildred Pierce (9pm, HBO) - In part three of five, Mildred (Kate Winslet) opens her restaurant despite suffering a great personal loss. Thanks to Ida and Lucy, her business becomes the talk of the town. Mildred also grows impatient with boyfriend Monty's spoiling of young Veda.
Celebrity Apprentice (9pm, NBC) - This is the one where Meat Loaf absolutely loses it.
Desperate Housewives (9pm, ABC) - Paul Young tries to stop Susan from getting his dead wife's kidney.
Army Wives (9pm, Lifetime) - The aftermath of Jeremy's tragic death leads to life-changing decisions for the wives.
Body of Proof (10pm, ABC) - No, you're not crazy. This new Dana Delany drama normally airs on Tuesday nights at 10pm. Consider tonight a special ... treat? Tonight, a young interracial couple is found shot and killed in their car and Dr. Hunt finds evidence that contradicts the police theory of the crime.
