Live from Lincoln Center (8pm, UNC-TV) - The New York Philharmonic honors the life and music of Marvin Hamlisch at its New Year's Eve gala, with performances by Joshua Bell, Raul Esparza, Michael Feinstein, Josh Groban, Megan Hilty and others. Hamlisch had been scheduled to conduct the event prior to his passing in August.
New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest (10pm, ABC) - Ryan Seacrest hosts from Times Square, where the giant ball drops at midnight. Performers include Psy, Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Jason Aldean, the Wanted and Pitbull. There's a break at 11 for the WTVD local news, then Seacrest is back at 11:30.
Magical Mystery Tour Revisited (10pm, UNC-TV) - Previously unseen footage from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr accent this look at the Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour" movie, which was panned upon its 1967 BBC release but, in the years since, has come to be viewed as a flawed masterpiece.
New Year's Eve with Carson Daly (10pm, NBC) - Carson Daly hosts NBC's New Year's Eve celebration. There's a break at 11 p.m. for NBC-17's local news and then Carson resumes at 11:30.
New Year's Eve Live! (11pm, Fox) - Fox rings in the New Year in Las Vegas with "American Idol" winner Phillip Phillips, Carmen Electra and Lifehouse.
