Bachelorette (8pm, ABC) - It's Fantasy Suite night in Tahiti, and also the night Frank has his big emotional breakdown. Can't wait to see if he flakes out on Ali before or after the sleep over.
Lucky (9pm, HBO) - The latest in HBO's summer documentary series is a look at the seductive power of the lottery. Nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance.
Good Guys (9pm, Fox) - Jack and Dan believe rumors of a bank robbery are just an attempt to distract from a much larger heist. If this show got on your nerves too much when it first debuted (specifically, the technophobic Bradley Whitford character), give it another shot. Over the last couple of episodes, Det. Dan Stark has been toned down a bit -- just enough to still be funny while not making you want to kill him. (Now watch them go and have him karate-chopping another computer tonight, just to prove me wrong).
The Closer (9pm, TNT) - Mary McDonnell returns as internal affairs officer Capt. Raydor, to help Brenda investigate a vanished nanny who has connections to the Los Angeles mayor. Raydor may have ulterior motives for shadowing Brenda.
The Client List (9pm, Lifetime) - A new lifetime movie starring Jennifer Love Hewitt as a mother who turns to prostitution to support her family. We have a review.
Do Something Awards (9pm, VH1) - An awards show honoring social activism by young people, hosted by Jane Lynch.
RuPaul's Drag U (9pm, Logo) - The first episode in a new series in which drag queen RuPaul offers makeover advice to women. Our review.
Rizzoli & Isles (10pm, TNT) - Boston is on edge when an alleged copycat of the Boston Strangler emerges. Also, Jane (Angie Harmon) clashes with her new boss, played by Donnie Wahlberg.

A Rizzoli question ....
Mon, 07/19/2010 - 09:39 — AgentPierceBrooke: Can you find out who played Hoyt the psycho serial killer in last week's Episode 1 of Rizzoli & Isles. I've scoured the websites but can't find a "supporting cast list" for that episode.
I think it was Billy Drago .... long time evil villain character actor who was a regular in Chuck Norris movies in the 90s.
Thanks, AP
Wasn't Drago, but looked like him
Mon, 07/19/2010 - 10:32 — brookecain (author)He did look like a young Billy Drago, who was soooo creepy in "The Untouchables," but it looks like it was an actor named Michael Massee.
Here's a link with the cast info listed and here's a photo of Massee from an episode of "Law & Order."
Mystery solved!
Thanks
Mon, 07/19/2010 - 14:56 — AgentPierceThanks N&O lady. It was bugging me. Drago's "classic role" for me was the Colombian drug lord in Delta Force II. He played A LOT of very scary sorts.
It looks like Rizzoli & Isles is going to stretch the envelope on creepy plots and equally creepy people ..... with either or both pretty ladies forever in perilous circumstances. ..... pretty ladies in peril is a pretty bankable plotline.
Haven't seen The Glades II but have it in the DVR.
Pretty ladies in peril
Mon, 07/19/2010 - 20:31 — brookecain (author)It was interesting that in the first episode of "Rizzoli & Isles" that even though Angie Harmon's character was in peril, she saved herself and didn't need a man to come save her. I also liked that she admitted she was scared when Hoyt escaped, which is how a real human being would feel. Too many of these tough cop types on TV and in mystery novels (male & female) refuse to admit they are afraid -- when an escaped psychopathic serial killer is looking for them, no less. I think it's a good show. Way better than "Glades!"
