What to Watch on Friday: 'Rudolph' guides a night of Christmas programming

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (8pm, CBS) - Another showing of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," which is the longest-running Christmas special on television. The 1964 classic is narrated by Burl Ives and features the music of Johnny Marks. "Rudolph" is followed by "Yes, Virginia" and "The Elf on the Shelf: An Elf's Story."

Prancer Returns (8pm, CW) - A 2001 film in which a local legend involving one of Santa's reindeer leads an 8-year-old boy to believe that a lost calf is the son of Prancer. Stars John Corbett and Jack Palance.

Disney's A Christmas Carol (8pm, Disney) - In this 2009 adaptation, Jim Carrey plays Ebenezer Scrooge, as well as the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

Malibu Country (8:30pm, ABC) - Reba is upset when she learns that Kim has been chosen over her to sing a solo at the church Christmas service. Meanwhile, June undergoes a crisis of faith and informs Cash that she has doubts about her religion.

Fringe (9pm, Fox) - Walter uses an LSD experience to jog his memory about a plan to beat the Observers. Also, Peter and Olivia follow a strange signal into the forest, but the trail leads to a shocking scene.
