What to Watch on Friday: New Syfy series based on Stephen King work

Friday Night Lights (8pm, NBC) - Riggins tells Tami (the Emmy-nominated Connie Britton) about Becky's "delicate situation," which puts Tami in a tough spot. Vince has to help his mom through a serious health crisis.

Whale Wars (9pm, Animal Planet) - The Sea Shepherd finally tracks down the Nisshin Maru, the Japanese whaling vessel they've been hunting for a month.

Eureka (9pm, Syfy) - In the fourth season premiere, the town is set to celebrate its 60th anniversary and Zane stuns Deputy Lupo with a marriage proposal. Also, Sheriff Carter jogs into a surprise meeting with Dr. Trevor Grant (James Callis, "Battlestar Gallactica").

Haven (10pm, Syfy) - In the first episode of this new supernatural drama series inspired by Stephen King's "The Colorado Kid," FBI Agent Audrey Parker (Emily Rose, at right with Lucas Bryant) is sent to track an escaped federal prisoner who mysteriously dies shortly after reaching his hometown of Haven, Maine. Naturally, the people of Haven are just loaded up on various supernatural abilities.
