Wanda Sykes has had "enough" of NC Rep Virginia Foxx

"The Wanda Sykes Show"? Are you kidding me? How pathetic to give some washed-up, retread comedian, that no one has ever heard of, their own TV show. A show bashing BHO, Harry Reid, or Nancy would get much better ratings.

Sykes is just another liberal dunce from the entertainment industry. Why is her opinion on the front page. Very few people have any interest in what that burned out heifer thinks.

All these folks who accuse Wanda Sykes of being a racist are probably the same ones who voted for Jesse Helms all those years.

I guess i am just a bumpkin from NC, but the name Wanda Sykes really means very little to me. And, frankly, even though I am Republican I don't find Virginia Foxx very appealing. However, anyone who opposes BO's Marxist wealth redistribution agenda has my support. Even if I have to hold my nose!

Well, dang...some folks seem to have their panties permanently twisted 'cause they're freaking out over a television reporter reporting on a state politician who was featured on a television show (particularly a new television show).

Then, their twisted up tightie-whities have these frothing folks finding juvenile ways to create nasty nicknames for other elected officials with whom they apparently don't agree...and seeking to discredit Sykes' opinions based on her sexuality and race (not necessarily in that order).

I just find it interesting, on a few levels, that FOX offered Sykes a recurring weekly series (for now) and that Sykes accepted a show on a FOX channel...and that Virginia Foxx seems woefully ignorant.

I see both the left and the right are certain of their certainty here. I am often embarrassed by what our politicians say here in NC -- on both sides of the aisle. Having grown up a Washingtonian, we knew anyone elected to office there would say anything to get attention. Neocons preaching morality while sleeping around. Liberals not wanting their own personal gains taxed or shared. It's pretty much always the case. Has been since Adams was president (the first Adams).

But to think the posters here stoop to such levels, over a T.V. blog. Some of the screen names here are from the usual partisan posters who troll the political sections, but there are a whole new bunch of you that look pretty much as foolish as Foxx and Sykes appear in this exchange. I do believe this is my last visit to this part of the website -- not people I'd care to meet out in public here in the Triangle. You all are WAY too angry, and few are showing either the education or manners befitting NC.

She is just another mouthpiece of the US CHamber of Commerce and Americans for(Their own)prosperity.She has been drinking to much of the Faux News Channels teabagger tea. She needs to be sent home next year because she is too dumb to be trusted.

I'm not the biggest Wanda Sykes fan. But, she appeals to her audience, and does the job of entertainer. Foxx appeals to her audience (constituency) as well. But, I would say she's better at drawing huge belly laughs with the unbelieveable string of words that come from her mouth. And, when she does, she DOES make NC look stupid. But she's only the VISIBLE stupid one. It took a lot of stupid people to vote for her, and in parts of this state, they're not hard to find. But, don't feel bad, NC. I'm from Oklahoma, and we have Jim Inhofe, who makes Foxx look like Stephen Hawking (for you people who voted for Foxx, that's like this really smart guy).

Wanda Sykes is funny in her rolls in movies because that's make believe but when it comes to her opinion in politics she is the perfect example of my favorite saying:
Tis better to keep silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
Wanda like so many in Hollywood are so far left they wear a blinder only on their right side and she is about as raciest as all those on the left who claim they care about the black people. If all these rich black people like Wanda,Jessie Jackson,Rev. Wright, Al Sharpton,Farrakhan and the list goes on who have made a fortune on playing the race card every chance they get. They keep telling those who are trying to make it that it's the anti black government who is keeping them down and without the government they couldn't make it. This health care bill is not going to fix the problem with our health care system for any of us black or white Democrat or Republican so every body better read the fine print before you start calling people names.

Not a huge fan of Foxx's show. She could definitely spend her time ranting and raving about other things. Health care reform is a highly controversial topic depending on who your talking to. No matter which way we go there will be upset people, so she can't act like her opinion is SO right- it's simply her opinion and the option that best suits her. No one can speak for EVERYONE as to what is best for the whole.

Kay Hagan and Bev Perdue are definitely better folks. You talk about squashing opinions. Opinions are squashed when if you don't agree with the Republicans you are put down as was done in town hall meetings. A lot of that was pushed by the insurance industry, an industry that Republicans seem to be in bed with.

Several years ago, opposition to Iraq was put down as unpatriotic. Now we find out we sere sent there on a pack of Republican lies.

By the way, I love how Foxx news last week used tapes from past protests to show how popular their opinions are for a current protest. Is that what you call Fact...

I suppose women like Kay HAGan and Bevvie PurDON'T make you proud. You know what I find particularly charming about socialists? The blatant lies you tell the world on the most fundamental level about your egalitarianism -- it's the most elitist of all systems -- it squashes dissenting opinion, demands absolute conviction to ludicrous opinion in spite of contradicting fact, and denies personal liberty. It is a utopia for mediocrity.

I'm talkin' to you Virginia Foxx! Keep it up. You must be doing something right, if a Hollywood "entertainer" highlights you! Doesn't matter what our betters in California think, it matters what the voters of NC think. We're behind you all the way, Virginia!
