Happiness is a warm TV

Vanceboro family starring on 'Wife Swap'

Bookmark and Share

ABC's Wife Swap recently made a trip through North Carolina and the episode, starring Vanceboro's Cliff and Ginger Holland, airs Friday at 8 p.m.

You know the drill. Wives from philosophically opposed sides of the street swap families for two weeks. Hilarity and confrontation ensue. This episode pits the Demolition Derby-loving Hollands, and kids Courtney, 12, and Curtis, 7, against the health-conscious Browns, husband and wife Sarge and Joy and sons Sevin, 8, and Loren, 5.

Ginger Holland will play mom to the Browns in Florida where former military man Sarge Brown runs a fitness bootcamp business. Joy Brown, used to serving raw fruits, vegetables and supplments to her kids, will try to whip the fried-food loving Holland clan into shape in Vanceboro.

Here's a peak at the drama: 7-year old Curtis Holland, called "King Curtis" because his whims and desires direct the household, stages a walkout when Joy takes over in week 2. GingerĀ  encourages Sarge to spend more quality time with his kids. Sarge doesn't take so well to Ginger's changes, especially the day Ginger brings cookies home for the kids as a treat.
