Bookmark and Share

UNC basketball coach Roy Williams will be the featured guest on the "NC Bookwatch" season finale today.

Williams will be interviewed about his new book, "Hard Work: My Life On and Off the Court."

In addition to recounting his professional successes, Williams' book tells the story of his turbulent family life as a child. In the interview with host DG Martin, Williams speaks candidly about his past, his inspirations, and his coaching philosophy. Williams also talks about the perseverance that took him from his modest upbringing in the mountains of North Carolina to his coaching triumphs.

Born in Asheville, Williams has won two NCAA Championships with the Tar Heels and was inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2007. He worked as assistant coach at UNC and was also the head coach at University of Kansas before returning home in 2004.

"NC Bookwatch" airs at 5pm today on UNC-TV.
