Watching 'The Rachel Zoe Project" (Bravo, 11 tonight) is like taking a bath in superficiality and self-absorption. But I won't apologize. Sometimes after a day of thinking big thoughts, a girl needs a little me me me time.
And so I willingly lapped up this premiere and soaked in Rachel's overly emotional response to well, everything. (That's how she rolls.)
The season begins with the Internet abuzz with the news that bitter longtime employee Taylor is no longer on Team Zoe. (In case you want to keep up, here's a blog she's doing now and a denim line she's collaborating on, sold at Scout and Molly's.) Rachel's more sensible hubby Rodger, now officially the president of the RZ company, explains why to the rest of the staff, and Brad becomes the new top stylist.
Despite the fact that Taylor was insufferable, Rachel feels horribly betrayed and is DEVASTATED by the parting; she's going to die, but not in that fashion way, like when she sees anything from Chanel. So, even though Taylor's not in the first episode, she's in the first episode. A lot.
There's also a Vogue shoot with Demi Moore (airbrushing or not, she looks good!) which becomes Brad's trial by fire.
By the previews for the season, it looks like it will be another season of fashion week, meltdowns that are bananas, celebrities, and more. Plus Rachel and Rodger talk about having a baby!

Assistant Features Editor Adrienne Johnson Martin would like to have her life turned into an animated cartoon.
