Good Ol' Girls, April 22, 9pm, UNC-TV

Good Ol' Girls, a two-act musical revue based on the writings of acclaimed North Carolina authors Lee Smith and Jill McCorkle, makes its television premiere this Wednesday night on UNC-TV (channel 4).
"You can see your mother, your aunts, all the women you have known and loved," McCorkle has said of the show.
Good Ol' Girls tells the stories of six southern women (played by Pamela Bob, Kendra Goehring, Libby Seymour, Gina Stewart, Cassandra Vallery, and Liza Vann) in all the various stages of life. They deal with issues like love, marriage, faith, family, and aging -- and all to a raucous, original soundtrack.
Nashville songwriters Matraca Berg and Marshall Chapman wrote the music along with bluegrass musician Joe Newberry and actress Julie Oliver. You'll also hear music by Big Mike & the Milkmen, Red Clay Rambler Mike Craver, and Steve O'Connor, Jeff Stone, and Guy Unger.
Look for it Wednesday night on UNC-TV (channel 4) at 9pm.
