Still plenty of wows on next "Antiques Roadshow"

Bookmark and Share

Last week's premiere episode of "Antiques Roadshow" from Raleigh featured the famous "million-dollar jade" find, but there are still plenty of big surprises and big ticket items left to see on tomorrow night's show.

Just a few of the surprising items include a wooden liquor cabinet from the 1800s, a miniature doll purchased for $12 on an online auction website, keepsakes given to an Army One pilot by Richard Nixon just before Nixon's resignation, and last but not least, an original Andrew Wyeth watercolor painting.

This is also the episode where you'll see North Carolina state senator Bill Purcell of Scotland County and his Civil War family heirlooms. That's a really interesting segment, and you can read more about Purcell and those items over at Under the Dome

Also featured is a short segment on Thomas Day furniture, filmed at the North Carolina Museum of History

"Antiques Roadshow" airs at 8pm on Monday night on UNC-TV.
