So You Think You Can Dance: Results show

Guest blogger Lenni G. on the results:

First, there was Cat Deeley back on her fashion game big time. Loved her white tuxedo suit - Nigel called her "stunningly attractive and elegant." The way he said that, I assume he also had problems with the big red left side kite thingie from the night before. But I digress.

I was not very surprised by the couples who ended up in the danger zone - I had picked Ashley and Kupono as well as Caitlyn and Jason. When Kayla and Max were not safe, I felt redeemed by the fact that America had not voted in large numbers for their pop jazz routine, the one I called weird and strange.

The danger zone folks did their solos and the judges went off stage to deliberate. Upon their return, Nigel announced that their decision as to the girl and boy leaving had not been unanimous. First, the girls' solos - Caitlyn got an OK, Ashley got a not OK and Kayla got an in-between OK.

After Nigel reinforced the fact that the judges were not unanimous, Ashley was out. Next, the boys' solos - all three got mostly similar OK reviews. Once again the not unanimous comment was made and Max, even though he was called the hardest worker of the group, was out, meaning we'll have a new couple next week in Kayla and Kupono.

Wonder if anyone else but me has noticed that the "FUN" couple, Randi and Evan, really do seem to be having the most FUN dancing with each other. And Evan was over the moon when Nigel announced that his brother, Ryan, had made it to the Vegas tryouts for the Fall show. I love Ryan and it was such a bummer when he and Evan had to fight it out for the last spot in the Top 20. But I digress.

My picks for a big next week are Randi and Evan and Melissa and Ade. Think these two couples have the most chemistry so far and their individual techniques are pretty special. Stay tuned for the "Sweet Sixteen."
