The Orlando Sentinel reports that as soon as former NBA star (and former Tar Heel) Rick Fox hangs up his dancing shoes, he'll have a new gig as a guest studio analyst on NBA TV.
NBA TV is a partner with TNT and carried in more than 53 million homes. The network already has big name analysts like Ernie Johnson, Ahmad Rashad, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Reggie Miller.
Rick Fox is currently dancing -- and doing quite well -- on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

Brooke Cain isn't always proud of the number of hours she logs in front of the TV, but her loss of brain cells can be your gain. From reality shows to sitcoms to the more serious stuff, Brooke keeps her DVR smoking so that she can help keep you in the know. Brooke also tweets for Happiness is a Warm TV (you can follow

The NBA Needs Rick
Thu, 10/07/2010 - 21:17 — bilgewaterI have been watching NBA commentators. Many of them former basketball players who have some vital and illuminating comments.
Rick may be one of the two or three best looking Tarheel graduates. He is one of the few basketball stars who actually made a living in Hollywood.
If he could get a good co-anchor like Catherine Zita Jones, the Present Miss America or Jennifer Lopez,I bet he could raise the ratings about three hundred percent. It's not that NBA are shallow but you might notice the cheerleaders on the floor of NBA games get alot more applause than the players, unless they dunk over Shaq.
