Real Housewives of Atlanta: Is Kandi more ghetto than NeNe?

Bookmark and Share

Thank goodness for editing.

The extended episode of last week's wig shifting fight only proved that Sheree was even more gangsta than we thought. (She started the tugging in the restaurant.) And that NeNe has no idea what she wants from Kim. She says she wanted Kim to just say "I said some things, you said some things, let's move forward." Didn't that happen at their private get together at Cinco?

And why is Michael Lohan everywhere?

That was a rhetorical question/plea but on What Happens Live, Kim answered. She said that Lohan and that guy that NeNe said Kim was making out with, when Kim clearly wasn't, were trying to get her to endorse some smoking cessation product. Kim's still smoking. She also said she and NeNe were in an OK place, still working on their friendship but that the making out comment was a set back. Flipping Out's Jeff Lewis, was on the show too, and he said that Kim should try a shorter bob look; Kim says she does on the show in an upcoming episode. And she says that Big Poppa provides for her, although she does have a nursing degree. And yes, Big Poppa's wife knows about the arrangement.

NeNe, Sheree, and Lisa didn't come across so great last night in my book, in regards to Kim. If Lisa hates Kim so, why did she spend her time at the King Tut party mocking Kim with Sheree? And then NeNe seemed positively jealous that Kandi and Kim were getting along famously. And she dissed Kandi's singing. Is NeNe just trying to make a new enemy and some good TV? Good for Kandi for not making a judgment until she met Kim herself. Have you heard 'Don't be Tardy for the Party' yet?

Why does Kandi seem ghetto to NeNe? And is that the hood rat calling the kettle black?

In a way, it's sweet that Kandi wants AJ and her mother to get along before they get married. But her mother is being awful; she's essentially making her choose. Kandi, don't let her do it to you.

Only Kim could get a nanny that seems to hate children. Maybe leaving Kim's 7-year-old alone was the final straw, but I'd say telling the older girl she was going to hell ma have put her out the door sooner in my house. And yes, I think it's OK to fire her on voicemail.

I love that NeNe admitted that she wasn't writing her book, but basically dictating it, and yet she still calls herself an author. Isn't she the one that's supposed to keep it real. That's akin to Sheree's assertion that her weave is better than Kim's wig. The way these ladies mix fake and real is kinda impressive.

NeNe meeting Lisa's family in L.A should be priceless.

Agreed

On all points!

Lisa, Sheree and NeNe standing around making fun of Kim at that party was straight-up middle school foolishness. If they're such "grown women" as Sheree likes to reiterate, perhaps they should act like adults.

And NeNe calling Kandi ghetto is like Lynne Spears calling Dina Lohan a bad mother. I guess NeNe thinks using your talent to make your own money, instead of marrying rich, is the ghetto way to go. Hoo-boy, does that girl need a reality check.

Also, Kandi is my new favorite by leaps and bounds. She seems so sweet and genuine, and I feel so bad for her with the situation with her mother. Mama needs to get over it and let her grown daughter make her own choices.
