Here's the first trailer for the new FX series, "The Americans." The drama, set in 1981, is about the arranged marriage of two KGB spies (Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys) posing as Americans in a Washington, D.C., suburb. According to info from FX, the marriage is "passionate" but constantly tested by the escalation of the Cold War and by the husband's growing affinity for American values and the American lifestyle. And also, two FBI agents (who are tasked with fighting foreign agents on U.S. soil, no less) move in next door. It sounds a little "Homeland-y" with a dash of "Breaking Bad" -- and I see nothing wrong with any of that.
The series is set to debut in January.
