If you saw the "Madagascar" movies, you know the Penguins and the Lemurs held their own on screen against the Lion and Hippo and the rest of those wild kingdom stars.
So you might want to check out "The Penguins of Madagascar" after the Kids Choice awards on Saturday night at 9:30.
Naturally, none of the big names are back (Sasha Baron Cohen was the lemur king, for goodness sake) but Andy Richter voices one of the lemurs and Tom McGrath reprises his voice role as the head penguin skipper. And everybody lives in the zoo now.
In the movies, as supporting players, the penguins and lemurs could be make a big impact with a little bit of funny; the bar is raised here when they're the stars. The episodes I saw weren't laugh-out-loud funny but your kids will probably like them better, and they were kind of sweet too.
