Oprah says John Edwards "really, really uncomfortable."

Bookmark and Share

Today on Fridays Live with Oprah, Oprah and her guests -- Ali Wentworth (wife of George Stephanopoulos), Gayle King, and Mark Consuelos -- discussed Thursday's Elizabeth Edwards interview.

Ali jumped in right away with this sage advice: "Keep it in your pants or don't go into politics."

And Ali didn't mask her irritation at the fact that John Edwards entered and stayed in the presidential campaign after the affair. "If you're going to have an affair, don't continue taking campaign funds, don't continue hiring people who are going to dedicate their lives to helping you run for president," she said.

As for Elizabeth staying with her husband after the affair, Gayle spoke as someone who had been with a "cheater cheater pumpkin-eater," and said that "until you're in that situation, you don't know what the hell you would do."

About Hunter's baby? Ali felt Elizabeth was being unrealistic about the possibility that John Edwards is the father. "And by the way, Elizabeth, if that baby is your husband's baby, it is going to change your life."

"And I think it is [his baby]," Gayle added. "The baby looks just like him."

Oprah's main comment, besides the fact that her own hair and makeup looked bad, was that John Edwards seemed pretty uncomfortable with her there. "He was really, really uncomfortable. And I was also uncomfortable, and you know why? Because I feel like you can ask anybody anything if they come to your studio, but I am standing in his house, in his foyer, in his gym, you know ..."

The Rielle knows who the

The Rielle knows who the baby daddy is. It's that guy with the terminally wife who lives in North Carolina. And, I think the reason Oprah felt "uncomfortable" is that she could barely contain her anger about that guy. Oprah does not suffer fools well nor do I, whether it's at the fool's house, my house or on her stage.

John and Elizabeth Edwards

John and Elizabeth Edwards have been married for 32 years. Early in their marriage they had two children. After the death of their young son they had two children later in their marriage. So, they are now still rearing two very young children. In addition, Elizabeth Edwards has stage 4 cancer. Any decent human being would not have inserted herself into their lives, and then sold stories about them to the National Enquirer for monetary gain. Lisa Druke, a.k.a. the Rielle (Real) Hunter fills me with disgust. I hope someday to never hear anything about her again. By the way, whose fault is it that Lisa Druke, a.k.a. the Rielle (Real) Hunter does not know who the father of her child is?

Elizabeth Edwards is

Elizabeth Edwards is intentionally dehumanizing Rielle Hunter, and has a specific strategy of never mentioning Rielle Hunter's name and Oprah mentions it was a specific pre-requisite of the interview. Pretending she has no interest of whether the child is John’s or not? Is adorable little Frances Quinn Hunter just another abandoned campaign prop to be tossed on the scrap heap? The callousness, the cold and calculating way with which Elizabeth Edwards treats Rielle Hunter and little Frances would turn on her instantly if Rielle told her story in a compassionate manner.
