Olbermann to debut on Current TV in June

Bookmark and Share

Current TV has just unveiled the name and debut date of former MSNBC mad man/commentator Keith Olbermann's new show on the channel.

Hmm. Maybe 'unveiled' is too strong a word. The show's name? "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."  Yes, that is the same name as the MSNBC show he left. Guess he owns the title.

Beginning June 20, the show will air each week night at 8, and will "combine familiar and popular features with some new elements that we can’t wait to unveil,” said Mark Rosenthal, CEO of Current.  “We’re creating a great platform for Keith’s style, which includes a very sophisticated digital presence for him -- that we think will appeal to his very enthusiastic and active following.  The show will also appeal to new viewers tuning into Keith for the first time.“

Which we'll translate to mean the same show with a few new cool graphics.
