Is AMC's "Rubicon" moving too slowly for you? Maybe it's you...

There's an interesting article at InventorSpot.com about the decidedly low-tech, old fashioned problem-solving techniques of AMC's conspiracy theory drama, with tips on adjusting your mindset to the more analytical nature of the show.

"Rubicon" stars James Badge Dale as a think tank analyst whose discovery of a hidden code in a series of crossword puzzles leads to his boss's death (we assume). Dale's character is busy right now breaking a series of secret codes in an effort to figure out exactly why his boss died. It's great 1970s-era conspiracy theory stuff, and one of the tips from InventorSpot.com is to rewatch some of those 70s movies like "Three Days of the Condor" and "The Conversation" -- to essentially cleanse your brain of the adrenaline rush-car chase-shoot out extravaganzas we see in most movies and TV shows today.

There's also a link to a New York Times Rubicon-inspired crossword puzzle and you can take an Intelligence Team Aptitude Test for the fictional American Policy Institute at the AMC website.

"Rubicon" airs on Sunday nights at 9pm on AMC (just before "Mad Men").

like Dark Blue

I have chosen to NOT add Rubicon to my DVR menu.  As I have also chosen w/ Dark Blue.  Both struck me as to difficult to follow and with dialogue that is garbled and confusing.

I feel guilty when I do add new shows (as I have w/ The Glades and Rizzoli) so any reason NOT to is an easy decision made.

I maintain it is not my responsibility to work hard to figure out a show.

You have our blessing!

You have our blessing.

I don't care for Dark Blue either.
