NC's "Big Happy Family" returns to TLC tonight

Bookmark and Share

The Cole family from Indian Trail (near Charlotte) are back tonight for season two of their TLC reality show, "One Big Happy Family."

In the first season, TLC cameras followed the obese family -- parents Norris and Tameka, kids Shayne and Amber -- as they went about their daily lives while trying to lose weight and get healthier (son Shayne was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes while filming).

Since they began their healthier mission last year, Tameka has lost more than 100 pounds and the family collectively has lost about 300.

TLC says the family is back this season with "a new and improved outlook on life." In tonight's episode, Tameka invites family and friends to a dinner party and Amber introduces everyone to her new boyfriend.

"One Big Happy Family" airs tonight at 9pm on TLC.
