Two Tar Heel bull riders are featured in the one-hour CMT special tonight, "Posse: The Young Guns of PBR."
The show follows a group of up-and-coming riders as they compete in the Professional Bull Riders circuit, and two of them live in North Carolina:
-Brian Canter, a 22-yr-old fan favorite from Randleman, who won the North Carolina High School Rodeo Association finals two years in a row and placed fifth at the National High School Rodeo Association Finals.
-Shane Proctor, a 24-year-old originally from Washington state, named the 2008 Jagermeister “Toughest Cowboy.” Shane lives in Mooresville, and recently won the GoDaddy.com Invitational in the Built Ford Tough Series.
The show also features Jessi Mauney-Proctor of Mooresville, who is married to Shane. Jessi is the Reigning Queen of the wives and girlfriends of PBR, and also the sister of top rider J.B. Mauney and daughter of steer wrestler, Tim Mauney.
The special goes in-depth to show the men not only training and riding, but also managing family, relationships, finances, and of course, egos.
"Posse: The Young Guns of PBR" airs tonight at 8pm on CMT and again at 2:30am. It replays again on Sunday at 1:30pm and on Monday at 9pm.
