Warm TV readers know that for us, watching "The Jay Leno Show" is cruel and unsual punishment.
So we missed it last night when Leno cracked jokes about the Goldsboro, N.C. school which tried to raise money by selling grades to students. Leno called it his "Outrage of the Week."
Luckily, our friends over at Under the Dome are loyal Leno fans and caught the segment for you to check out. There's even video.

It was intended to raise money for a school in a money strapped school district. The 20 points could not be used on one test, it would have been broken up on two tests. I do not believe that two tests raised from a "F" to a "D" is going to determine if a child passes his or her grade. Chances are if they failed two tests, they have and will fail several more. For those of you outside of Rosewood that do not know Mrs. Sheperd, she is a very fine Principal and of very high character. She would never intentionally approve a fundraiser that was morally or ethically wrong, or one that was against county policy.
