Kinston native and My Name is Earl star Jaime Pressly is everywhere you turn lately.
Pressly appeared last week on The View, and she's the scene stealer in one of this weekend's biggest movies, "I Love You, Man," co-starring with Paul Rudd, Jason Segal, and Jon Favreau.
She's also on the cover of the April edition of Redbook magazine, and she's promoting her new book, "It's Not Necessarily Not the Truth: Dreaming Bigger Than the Town You're From." The book is a memoir chronicling her journey from Kinston to Hollywood. She also appeared on Shape magazine's cover for March.
The Emmy-winning Pressly became emancipated from her parents at age 15, and tells Redbook she shares that "survivor instinct" with her on-screen counterpart -- Joy Hickey (Earl's ex-wife).
When Redbook asks if her "one of the boys" persona on the set of "Earl" has changed now that she has become a mom, Pressly says, "Are you kidding, lady? I'm so one of the boys on the show! Lord, yes. Why stop the fun? I had a child; I didn't die." And as for raising her son in Hollywood, Pressly promises that her little boy will have Southern manners and say "sir" and "ma'am."
