Jimmy Fallon kicks off his Late Night life

We've said au revoir to Conan and now it's time to welcome former SNL star Jimmy Fallon back to late night. Fallon admits to being "nervous but excited" about his new gig, and has already been warming up with some amusing webisodes. But the real test begins tonight.

And get ready for some massive over-analyzing starting around 12:36.

Poor Fallon hasn't even had his first show yet, and critics are already slamming him. He's been compared to everyone from Chevy Chase to Magic Johnson. But if we remember, Conan O'Brien had a very rocky start and he ended up more than okay. Will Fallon be a smashing success or a huge disappointment? Who knows, but let's give him a shot before we write his TV obit.  

Here's one interesting tidbit about the new show: Fallon, who is expected to attract the coveted younger audience, plans to treat video game launches like movie premieres.
