Jaime Pressly's spicy new sitcom pilot

Bookmark and Share

Jaime Pressly fans who are upset that "My Name is Earl" is taking the eternal TV dirt nap (we maintain it was a mercy killing), should please take note of Jaime's potential new TV project -- a raunchy cable sitcom starring cutie Simon Rex, Lance Bass, Paris Hilton, and Victor Garber

"Rex" is about a washed-up star, Simon Rex, trying to restart his career by generating tabloid press and media buzz (Paris plays his less-than-enthusiastic girlfriend). And if that means pretending he's gay to date Lance Bass, then fine. The website AfterElton.com has a nice review.

"Rex" has only filmed a pilot so far, and it hasn't yet been picked up. But the show's creators are hoping and praying for Showtime, and encouraging fans to go grassroots to help get the show on the air (show content is definitely of the premium cable variety). And even though they spell Jaime's name wrong (Presley instead of Pressly) on their website, we encourage you to give the show a chance. Jaime plays a version of herself, but as the girlfriend of Jeffrey, Simon's Russell Brand-type controversy consultant.

You can watch the "Rex" pilot for free on their website, as long as you become a fan of Simon Rex on Facebook and get the password there. Or maybe you can Google up the password, but they ask that we don't share it because they're keeping track of the "impressions" (whatever that means), so we're obliging. (And for what it's worth, Vimeo didn't ask me for a password when I played the video, even though they gave instructions on how to obtain it).
