Fans of Homer the blind wonder cat will get to see him in action Saturday night when the amazing feline is featured in an episode of "Cats 101" on Animal Planet.
Author Gwen Cooper adopted the eyeless black kitten when he was just four weeks old, and later chronicled Homer's incredible story in the New York Times bestseller, "Homer's Odyssey: A Fearless Feline Tale, or How I Learned About Love and Life with a Blind Wonder Cat."
"Cats 101" showcases different breeds and categories of cats each week (there's also a "Dogs 101" show). Homer's episode will examine Bengals, Snowshoes, Turkish Vans, Chartreux, Fat Cats and Balinese. Homer is featured in a segment on Domestic Housecats.
Cooper donates 10% of domestic royalties to charities aiding blind cats and was in Raleigh last week presenting a $10,000 check to North Carolina's Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary.
Learn more about Homer at his website and then tune in Saturday night (9/25) at 8pm to watch his television debut.
