For Easter: Local deviled egg master on TV

Bookmark and Share

If you need some inspiration in the Traditional Easter Foods department, local deviled egg master (or is it mistress?) Debbie Moose will be showing off some kicked-up versions of those spring delicacies tomorrow morning on NBC-17's "My Carolina Today."

Moose, an award-winning local author, will talk to host Valonda Calloway about the secret to hard-cooked eggs and why deviled eggs are so popular (because they're delicious?). She'll be spotlighting one of her popular spicy egg recipes called The Devil Made Me Do It from her cookbook, "Deviled Eggs: 50 Recipes from Simple to Sassy." Those eggs have habanero hot sauce and curry powder.

"My Carolina Today" is a new local morning show hosted by Calloway, Sharon Delaney McLoud, and Page Crawford. It airs weekday mornings at 11am on NBC-17.

(Note: Thanks to the magic of television, Moose will also be at A Southern Season in Chapel Hill tomorrow with deviled egg samples at the same time, so if you're going to that, be sure to set your DVR for the NBC-17 show).
