Final season of 'Friday Night Lights' on DVD today

Bookmark and Share

The DVD set of the fifth and final season of 'Friday Night Lights' hits stores today, a full ten days before the season airs on NBC.

Season 5 of the critically acclaimed but ratings-challenged drama already aired on DirecTV this winter. It's currently on the NBC schedule for a Friday, April 15 (8pm) debut.

But if you just can't wait those last ten days, head out to the store now and settle in for a marathon of all 13 episodes, back-to-back. If you call in sick for work tomorrow, you can get it done. I know you can do it. Because I believe in you. Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.

I picked up seasons 1-4

I picked up seasons 1-4 cheaply at various places and plan on watching them this summer. I put off watching "Breaking Bad" until the recent replays on AMC so hopefully "Friday Night Lights" will provide the same "Why wasn't I watching this from the start?" experience that "Breaking Bad" did.

FNL won't disappoint

You'll love it. Actually, Season 2 takes a weird turn -- you can tell NBC was trying to "O.C. it up" with some silly storylines, but it recovers in Season 3 and you forget all about that moment of craziness. It's a great series.
