Dropping science on TV heads

Bookmark and Share

Let's talk nerdy for a minute:

Mark Everett, lead dude for the Eels, a tremendous alt-rock 'n' soul band, has a daddy who pioneered the theory of parallel universes.

I know this because I watched "Nova" last night on UNC-TV. For the first time in my life, I was excited about watching science on television, and the episode did not disappoint. (Watch the entire thing on Nova's Web site).

Everett's dad died when the future rock star was only 19. The two were not close. So Everett, now in his 40s, traveled the country meeting his pop's old colleagues, and learning the trippy science behind this parallel-universe thing.

Very cool.

(If you're not familiar with the Eels, this clip will fix that:)

Aim high, it'll happen.

I took over the tax rebate and set up my living room large.

Not to change the subject,

But nothing beats a nature show on a HD TV.

ahhh....the beauty of HDTV

One day I'll have an HDTV in my living room. It probably will be a day in 2019, but it will happen.
