None of the correspondents here at Happiness follow Dancing with the Stars, but my mother is devoted. So after each show, I will interview her and post her reaction.
"We have a new leader of the pack."
Dancing with the Stars is officially "exciting" again, according to my mom. And the thanks go to Lance and Lacey (or as we like to call them when we are typing really fast, Lancey). And that whole Cody/Julianne reunion thing? Gigantic letdown. Here's the scoop:
Brooke and Derek, Jive & Salsa. "Brooke was horrible on the Jive. Just terrible. She couldn't keep up with Derek. She missed a step to start off with and could never get back into it. Len said it was a disaster. But Derek was really good. They were better with the Salsa, but there's still no excitement. I have never been thrilled about her, to tell you the truth."
Cody and Julianne, Salsa & Paso Doble. "The Salsa was not very good and the Paso Doble was really stiff. I agree with Len -- stiff and not very good. But it's hard to believe Julianne had surgery just a few weeks ago. Cody is probably going home now. He had his 'one more little fling' with Julianne, but I think it's over."
Warren and Kim, Jitterbug and Mambo. "Very entertaining. Very entertaining. Both dances were good."
Lance and Lacey, Jitterbug & Mambo. "They are the new leaders and I'm so glad. For some reason, even though Brooke was good, I never got excited watching her dance. But I am excited about Lance and Lacey. They were very good and entertaining and just fun to watch. During the Jitterbug, Lance kicked so hard he kicked his shoe off. And the Mambo was really good. They had the highest score tonight. I'm beginning to think they might be the champions."
Also...Len went around to each group and gave them pointers. With Lance, he tried to help him not be so pigeon-toed; with Cody, it was how to move his hips; with Brooke, keeping her legs straight; and with Warren, Len tried to show him not to be so flat-footed. Warren in turn tried to show Len how to do a little of whatever-kind-of-dance-that-was he did in his solo last week.
So, will Cody be packing it up for Hannah Montana-Land Tuesday night?

Where can I get that song
Tue, 11/18/2008 - 10:45 — roxzeeI loved the song Lance and Lacey danced the Mambo to. Does anyone know what the name of it is or who it is by? Where can I get it?

Tue, 11/18/2008 - 12:07 — roxzeeThank you, that is the song. Video was weird. I agreed with everything you wrote about last night's show. I too never cared to see Brooke dance. I was a big Warren Sapp fan UNTIL the past two shows. I would like to see Warren and Lance in the finals, with Lance winning.
